Description
A thicker version of preservative-free TheraTears. TheraTears Liquid Gel works as a “liquid bandage” yet does not cause the blurring and crusting seen with thicker products. If you have severe dry eye, and have irritation throughout the day, use saturation dosing with preservative-free TheraTears four times a day, and follow each episode of saturation dosing with a single-drop of liquid gel to provide a liquid bandage until the time for next saturation dose. TheraTears Liquid Gel is also perfect for night time use to keep the eyes lubricated throughout the night.
How does TheraTears liquid gel work differently from other products on the market?
- Patients feel the difference in their eyes. Perform the ‘rub test’. Put a drop of TheraTears Liquid Gel on one of your index fingers and a drop of another leading brand on your other index finger. Now rub your index fingers against your thumbs for 30 sec to a minute. Feel the difference.
- Dryness occurs because the tear film (tears) is losing water. With the decrease in water volume the salt content of the tears increases. This salt builds up on the surface of the eye and can causes the sandy, scratchy, gritty, irritation caused by dry eye. TheraTears Liquid Gel is hypotonic so it not only lubricates the eye but, over time, it helps dilute the extra salt and rehydrate the eye.
- Advanced Vision Research scientists were able to analise the electrolyte balance of the human tear film and TheraTears Liquid Gel virtually matches this. There are clinical studies that show TheraTears Liquid Gel provides cumulative long lasting dry eye relief that really works.
How long has TheraTears been on the market?
